If you are not using EZ ORDER yet. START USING IT as I have to tell you that in all my travels in major mkts, the owners using it are just opening up new doors as people LOVE the CONVENIENCE of not having to fumble through books and toner and ink section or old bills.
This is a great tool to capture new business and be exposed on the clients desk top every day, but think about your present customer. Save them time finding out who has what cartridge, YOU do the specific inventory they have and then they order only the carts they have with the click of a button.
It states what is the most recent OEM price and what the SAVINGS are when they order through you.
Look at the Yellow Pages, does any one on earth use them any more? People Google and find out what they need.
You are in jeopardy of losing any present customers you have as they seek out easier ways to order. You spend more on coffee each month then you do on this.
Just ask some of the many growing stores using it. People will get sick of calling you for cartridges if there is an easier way, so you have to keep on the cutting edge with convenient service.
Many of our stores use and live by it as part of their customer service approach and sales approach.

Every once in a while you come across a person, product, vendor etc. that improves your business so much that you feel like you should share it with everyone. I have found such a product. I have told Max in Atlanta and John in Maryville about it. They both now use it too so I felt I should just share what we have found with everyone else. Its called EasyOrder and is for taking orders online from your customers.
I found EasyOrder in Recharger magazine as a nominee for 2007 product of the year. So I thought I'd check it out. Simply put, it is a online ordering system set-up by you for whenever you have a new customer.
For example: My salesman wins a new State Farm account. He hops online and inputs in the printer models that they have at their office. After you finish it sends them a welcome email and allows them to download a icon to their desktop. At this point, all they have to do is click on the icon and it pulls up all the printers in the customers office.
The cartridges and maintanence kits that go with each printer are in EasyOrder’s main database. It shows them retail pricing vs your Cartridge World price and also the savings. All they have to do is enter the quantity of cartridges that they want, click submit and the order is placed. A confirmation email is sent to the customer and you also get an email showing their order, totals, payment info etc.
This thing is such a great selling tool b/c it makes things so easy for our customer - and you no longer have to take those timely phone calls always having to look up what is the high yield cartridge that goes into their Okidata C5300.
You can also send quotes, separate by parent companies, sub-companies, departments etc. I used it in my presentation for Ruby Tuesday Corporate Headquarters. I needed an ordering system to accommodate the purchasing of 20+ departments for accounting purposes.
Did I mention its cheap too. Its just $50 a month to use. Thats it. Doesn't matter how many times someone orders or how many companies you add.

We have been using EasyOrder for about 4 months and the response from a lot of our customers has been very positive. They particularly like that they can order late at night and we will fill the order the next morning. Reman Resource has been extremely helpful in adding new products not listed and many new improvements have been added to the original program.
Wrong types of cartridges ordered has dropped to nill from customers signed up on this program. The confusion about what cartridge goes with what printer is eliminated. It saves the customer AND us a lot of frustration!
One side benefit is that some of the customers didn't know that we could supply certain types of ink and toner cartridges, but by listing them in their order form, we are now getting those orders that went to Staples or Office Max.

I have only approached a few customers with EasyOrder (due to lack of contact, etc not due to the program) and they have all signed up for it and continue to use it. They love it.
For me its great. I wish everyone would send their orders via EasyOrder. You know how many people call me to place an order, then put me on hold while they look up the toner or get the model? Sheesh. If they all used EasyOrder, I wouldnt have half my time wasted. Not to mention it reduces errors. We try hard to remember what our customers order, but with EasyOrder its like cake.
We were involved in the beta testing and they listened to our suggestions and I believe he used all of them. They also seems to continue working on improvements to make it even better.
